A friendly couple opens up their ranch to upwards of 200 guests for live music concerts, wher4e bands perform right from the couples’ back porch. Attendees are encouraged to BYOB, along with lawn chairs, snacks and blankets.

For a fun, laidback environment, it’s a great spot and the best way we know to meet other tourists who share a love for live music. But you must be on the couples’ email list or know someone who is to be invited to the festivities. We advise you act accordingly.

Some travel here for the nostalgia, others for the red waxed Wisconsin cheese. Yes, the cheese, which is an attraction all its own. The famous cheese comes in a 20-pound block that sits in a vintage holder.

Quitea display it does make. But if cheese isn’t your thing, perhaps you’ll simply enjoy exploring the historic store tand take in the huge variety of old-fashion items like overalls, Cracker Jacks, jams, jellies, honey, cast iron cookware and more.

There is an electric chair, fire-breathing dragon under the stairs, a dungeon, and a revolving bookcase, that is fun to watch.

The Cattail Falls is an 80-foot high waterfall, which creates a beautiful, natural pool of water at its base. The picturesque trail leading to it is located in Big Bend National Park. Cattail Falls isn’t found on the park map, butit is worth finding once in the area. At the bottom of the waterfall there are lush trees, natural water holes and plenty of flowers and vegetation, where the waters of the falls serve as a source of water for the parks wildlife.

For a side tour, get off the beaten path and make your way to the hiking trails in the park. You may just get the chance to set your eyes on the lovely waterfalls of the Cattail Falls from a far.
